Yesterday, Jerry Denhem and I ended up in downtown Knoxville at the Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area to take photos of the sunflowers.

After getting lost even trying to find the place in South Knoxville, we ended up walking about 1/2 a mile to the massive fields of sunflowers. I don’t know much about them, but I can tell you that they are not the large species that my wife and I grew a few years ago, but they are of decent size.

While we were there we had to fight with bumble bees and mosquitoes, which I thought were going to pick me up and carry me back to my car, there were just so many of them.

Anyway, this past week has been a whirlwind of photography for Jerry and I, and I’ve enjoyed every second of it.
