Dry River Bed

Last summer I took a hike to Piney Falls, just west of Spring City in East Tennessee. The temp that day was 106 degrees and little did I know, that the river had pretty much dried up. This shot was taken from the middle of the river bed looking over the top of Piney Falls.

Using an f-stop of f/36 I was able to shoot into the sun and captured a beautiful sunburst through the trees. Even though there was no water at the waterfall this day, I did have a good time getting some shots that I might not have been able to get, had the conditions been any different.
