Pick a Winner – One afternoon I had some time to get a way from the house and explore the countryside a little. I ended up at a farm that I had actually visited before, but this time I was greeted by the owner. I talked to her for a bit and she told me about the history of the quilt squares on the barn that I had shot before. While we were talking out came this cow and her two newborns (I will post a shot of them later). The owner informed me that they are twins and were only born a week before. While I was at the farm, the momma (pictured here) and her babies were very interested in me, but in their own ways. The babies wanted to find out about me. The mama was more concerned about protecting her young and was trying to get between us to get them away from me.
This shot was taken using a NIKON D5000 at ISO 200, f/7.1, for 1/320sec
