Over the Hill

The next time I head out to this area of the Cherokee National Forest, I hope to make it over this hill. This spot of the river is quite intriguing to me, with the walls of the rock on both sides, the hole in the wall on the left, and no idea what’s over the top.

The angle of this photo makes it look as though there is a cave with a waterfall coming out of it, but that’s not really what’s going on. That hole in the wall is only a few feet deep, and there is a pool of water there, but it is being fed by the water coming over the hill.

I’m pretty sure that people have been up here and know what’s at the top, but this mystery to me is what will bring me back. I just have to know (and take photos of) what’s up there.
