Inside Palmer Chapel
Welcome to the first of a feature that I’m going to call Before and After. With this I plan on posting images, both before and after, and summarize the steps that I took to go from beginning to end. I hope you will like what you see and get an idea of what I go through to create the photos that I share.
This weeks photo is one that I took from the inside of the Palmer Chapel that is located within the Cataloochee Valley area of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
For those that care, I’m a Lightroom 4.2 user, so the following adjustments are based on Lightroom settings.
Processing Steps:
- Changed White Balance to Shade
- Adjusted the Angle just ever so slightly
- Increased the Contrast +40
- Decreased the Highlights -60
- Increased the Shadows +60
- Increased the White Clipping +40
- Decreased the Black Clipping -26
- Increased the Clarity +50
- Decreased the Vibrance -14
All of the changes to this particular image were done strickly within Lightroom. However, that may not always be the case. In those instances where I do not strictly use Lightroom, I will indicate the program(s) that were used.
Below is the final product of Palmer Chapel:
