Dodge, burn, double exposure, vigetting, color correction are some of the many techniques that are used in the darkroom. With today’s digital cameras and post processing applications, such as Adobe’s Lightroom, Apple’s Apature, and even Google’s Picasa, photographers can achieve the same effects as before, along with many other forms of digital manipulation, the final results can become quite unique.

Watching the show “How It’s Made” on the Science Channel the other day gave me an idea. Why not share with you, the process I go through to make the photos look the way they look. A new feature that I’m going to try for this site will be a weekly posting of a before and after shot of a select photo. With sharing the before and after shots, I will share with you the steps that I took to go from original to final shot.
