The Elk River Falls, a shot taken from a framily trip up to Roan Mountain State Park in North East Tennessee. Just above this fall, there were several guys setting up their kayaks to go down stream. This is one of the obstacles that they needed to go over.

Last night I was going through some old photos from over a year and a half a go and I found a few that I decided to work on processing. Of all the photos that I worked on last night, they all ended up in black and white. I’m not sure why, but black and white just seemed to be the style I liked last night.

Maybe it’s due to taking these photos during mid-day, which is sometimes thought of as a no-no to photographers. The sharp harsh shadows seem to work better in black and white. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
