Cataloochee Elk In The Fall.

This is one of the many old cemeteries found in downtown Boston. This is the Granary Burying Ground and was founded in 1660 and is the final resting place for including three signers of the Declaration of Independence, Paul Revere and the five victims of the Boston Massacre.

This is one of the many buildings found in the Cataloochee Valley. I captured a shot of this female elk in front of the Caldwell House with the fall colors of the trees in the background.

Yesterday the hay field behind my house was finally cut down. Today, the baler was cleaning thing up.

My family and I went to the Chataloochee Valley last weekend to see the Elk that were re-introduced into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park back in 2001. At that time the park service, brought 25 elk into the park. Since then their population has grown to about 130.
