Almost a year ago, I meet a local photographer, Jerry Denham, on Google+ and just this past weekend, we were finally able to get together and shoot Laurel Falls in the Smoky Mountain National Park along with Tim Owens and Matt Millsaps. We got there very early and while this is probably one of the parks most popular trail/falls, we had the area to ourselves for almost two hours. In that time we shot the top of the falls, the base of the falls, and even continued down river and shot a bunch of smaller falls.

This is an image of one of the rhododendron blossoms at the base of Laurel Falls.
