Cades Cove Sunrise
You says you can’t get a Sunrise shot from within Cade’s Cove?
Since Cades Cove does not open to the public until Sunrise, and closes at Sunset, it is sometimes difficult to capture a good sunrise shot from within the Cove. However, last weekend, Jerry Denham and I arrived at the gate just 5 minutes before they opened, and went directly to Sparks Lane. We were greated by a large mob of photographers that were there participating in a workshop being put on by another photographer.
Since space was so limited, I decided to point my lens to the east and the sun was just coming up over the mountains. The clouds were very dramatic and help to create a very interesting sunrise from inside Cade’s Cove.
