Sunbeams shine down on an un-named waterfall along the Middle Prong Trail in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

A few weeks ago, my buddy Jerry Denham and I went to The Great Smoky Mountain National Park to photograph Spruce Flats Falls. After hiking up to and back down from the falls we decided that we were not done in the park, so Jerry took me further into the Tremont area and we took a stroll up the Middle Prong Trail, passing several waterfalls that are not the most photogenic, we ended up at this un-named waterfall.

Toward the back of the river we noticed there were a few sunbeams poking their way through the thick canopy created by the many trees along the river.
