Cliff Top Sunset
After a delicious dinner cooked by the staff of the LeConte Lodge, and a nice presentation of the Parks history, we hiked a short trail to the Cliff Tops, known for it’s beautiful sunsets.
From the time we arrived at the Lodge and the time left for the Cliff Tops, LeConte Lodge had recorded more than 1.2 inches of rain, so it was unsure as to the view that we would get once we reached the Cliff Tops. But we were not disappointed at all. The fog and clouds combined for a dramatic sunset.
Another must see, when visiting LeConte Lodge is Myrtle Point, for sunrise, but that will be an image for another day.
