Off of the Cherohala Skyway, there is a road named “River Rd.” This unmarked, barely two lane road meanders around the mountains following a river. One of the stops along the river is the Bald River Falls (which can been seen here and here). Once before, we drove further down the road and found this little fishing village with homes, places for RV’s and a few motels. This little community only lasts for about a quarter of a mile (if even that much).
