During my latest trip into the Cataloochee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I visited an old school house, The Beech Grove School. Inside the school house were several rows of old desks, a table, and this chalk board. The chalkboard wasn’t a seprate piece, but was the actual boards used in the interior of the school, painted with chalkboard paint. Now, I don’t know if this is original or a restoration job, but where there is a chalkboard, someone is bound to write on it. This is what I saw on the day that I visited the school.
