This shot was taken using a NIKON D5000 at ISO 200, f/6.3, for 1/160sec

During a trip to North Carolina a few years ago, my dad took me and my son to this area along the river so we could watch some of the rafters rafting down the river. The river was very foggy on this day, and as you were watching the river, these rafts would appear as though they were appearing out of thin air.

Being a little creative today, I decided to convert this image into a black and white, added some split toning in Lightroom. Finally I brought this image into Photoshop and cleaned up some noise and finished it off with a little “oil paint” filter.
